Yang-Te
The virtue of heaven
for 2-3 players
A cell capturing game themed on ancient Chinese Philosophy playing on the Points and Meridians to take the Virtue. A new classic for these interesting days.
Picture
Taking turns, the player playing the Black Rocks going first, the players lay one Rock on a board per go. If, after The Set Up, a player makes a ‘Harmony’ in a cell they lay one of their Rocks in that cells ‘Virtue’ to ‘win’ that cell. Players play with 60 Rocks each.

The game board is made up of four separate boards representing the four Seasons and the lines separating the Seasons represent the four Winds.

The cells themselves are made up of:

  • Four Points, which are the four corners of the cells.
  • Four Meridians, which are on the four lines of the cells
  • The middle of the cell is called the Virtue, where the players lay their Rock to win it, after making Harmony in that call.
  • The middle point of the board is called ‘The Tai Chi’.
